---- Manchester City Ladies Football Club ----

Manchester City Ladies was formed in 1989 and through the years it has grown to become one of the top ladies football clubs in the country. The club has over 150 players playing at all levels from Under 10 through to the open age group and has picked up honours at all levels on a regular basis.

The club is associated to Manchester City Football Club. We enjoy tremendous support from City's Commercial Department who provide invaluable assistance, access to new kit, fund raising & development activities. However, we still need to independently raise funds to meet the ongoing commitments.

The first team plays in the FA Nationwide Women's Premier League Northern Division, with a reserve team playing in the Nationwide Reserve League. Age groups from Under 10 to Under 14 take part in the Tameside & District Girls Leagues. An open-age Development Team plays in the Cheshire and Manchester League.

During 2000-01 the club experienced the most successful season in its history, with four teams winning the their respective leagues, one successful in a league and cup double and the under 13's completing an unprecedented treble.

Season 2002-03 proved to be another successful campaign, particularly with 1st team finishing mid-table and consolidating their position at this level. The Under 12's won their their league without dropping a single point.

The club is managed by a Club Committee and all team managers/coaches are qualified to the national FA level in coaching, child protection & first aid. This group of volunteers give up a great deal of their time and energy to ensure the club is run in a professional manner.

Recently the club achieved The FA Charter Standard Club award for both junior & adult sections.

All this makes us a very popular choice for new players looking for a safe, friendly, ambitious, professional and forward thinking club.

The successful launch of this website is further proof that the club is forging ahead in the development & promotion of girls and ladies football.

The club is constantly searching for new players to strengthen the teams & take the club to the next level, which is to have the 1st team playing in the Nationwide Premier League National Division, competing against the top teams in the country.

You could be the player we're looking for, or maybe you just have an interest in football, but have never played in a team before. Get in touch with us and come along and watch the teams play.
